MAA GUEST HOUSE
A charming home-from-home on the edge of Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve, we have been working with The Maa Guest House on an advisory basis since Kapara began. Every stay here directly donates to non-profit The Maa Trust, which works with local communities to create social, economic and environmental transformation, whose headquarters are next door to the house.
The house offers something different to the safari camps in the area - a chance to slow down, unwind with family in a beautiful setting, and real time spent with communities learning about Maasai culture sitting side by side with women learning beadwork. Plus of course the chance to game drive in one of Africa’s most renowned national parks, which is just fifteen minutes’ drive away.
Fully staffed and catered, it is the perfect spot to combine with a safari camp inside the main reserve, in one of the conservancies or both. Use it as a place to relax in the middle or post-safari without a long journey elsewhere, or as a base for a family to enjoy safari at your own pace, at an affordable pricepoint.
